Digital Audio Interference

If your audio on the broadcast is being provided by a digital audio board or some other type of digital mixer there are some issues that may become present in your broadcast.

These problems may be evident on all devices or could be exclusive to mobile phones and tablets.

  1. You may notice a digital interference noise accompanying the audio.
  2. The audio may not be present on some devices at all.

A common fix for this problem is to covert your audio source from a digital audio signal to an analog audio signal. This can be done easily with a small mini mixer like the Behringer 502 pictured below. This will convert your signal to an analog source and provide another level of control for the signal independent of the encoder settings and exclusive to the broadcast feed.
