Local recording for backup and redundancy

Included with every StreamSpot plan is automated server-side recording which posts on-demand archives of each live-broadcast within minutes of completion. Rarely, the video format that is sent to StreamSpot or issues with the transmission of the video can cause the automated recording to fail. This can result in a recording that will not play without re-encoding or repairing the video.

For this reason, we recommend that you utilize local recordings of each of your broadcasts in the event that the server-side recording is unplayable. In the rare event that your archive becomes corrupt during the recording process, you can easily upload your content using the Upload Tool in the MyStreamSpot customer portal.
