The StreamSpot ONE in addition to an encoder can be configured to also be a decoder. This means the HDMI out port on the back of the unit can be configured to send the signal over HDMI to an external monitor for overflow or monitoring purposes.
NOTE: This is an advanced function and will require direct access to the StreamSpot ONE through the IP address of the unit, this function cannot be enabled from the MyStreamSpot Portal.
First, you till need to obtain the IP address of the StreamSpot One on your network. To do this please ensure you are on a Mac or PC that resides on the same network as the StreamSpot One.
Next, you will need to download the IP Discovery Application that will scan for the device. It can be found at the link below.
After you have the IP address brought up in your browser ensure there is an HDMI cable connected to the HDMI Out port of the StreamSpot One and running to a monitor.
Now from the Decoder Controls select Configure.
Next, select the StreamSpot One device name from the dropdown list.
Under Stream Type select Unicast.
For Protocol select rtp://
Finally, for Port enter an even number between 1024 and 49150.
After hitting OK you should see your video source displayed on your HDMI Out connection.
Now on the dashboard, you should see the output resolution and the status of the connection. A green check means the connection is established.
